Sarah Hockensmith grew up in Northern California and has always had a passion for natural sciences and the outdoors. She believes her enthusiasm, knowledge and passion for the natural sciences and the outdoors could influence others to be stewards of Lake Tahoe’s resources and find value in the environment.
Join Sarah for a talk on the habitats of songbirds and the native birds of Truckee and Tahoe, as well as highlight plants that help encourage their presence.
Proceeds of ticket sales will go to the Tahoe Institude for Natural Science(TINS), a member-supported nonprofit organization advancing the natural history, conservation, and ecosystem knowledge of the Tahoe region through science, education, and outreach.
Attendees are encouraged to bring foldable chairs or alternative seating arrangements as seating in the store is limited. Please call 530-587-0771 if you are experiencing any issues with Eventbrite signups.
