Villager Spring Speaker Series 2026
Villager Nursery successfully welcomed 5 unique and fascinating speakers into our shop for our speaker series this past March, April and May!
We had over 150 attendees, and raised over $1,600 for local nonprofits.
Each night, we’d moved our seed racks, house plants, counter displays to make room for benches and speaker’s equipment …10 times through.
We first and foremost would like to thank each and every one of our 5 speakers who voluntarily came in despite their busy schedules to enlighten us with their stories, expertise, and wisdom on a vast array of topics. As ever-curious mountain ecologists in an ever-changing climate, we feel as though one of the most important things we can do is continue to learn, re-learn, and share information about the environment we live in to be the best stewards of our land that we can.
This series was one big experiment. We had no idea how it would play out – how many people would be interested in attending the events nor how we were going to pull it all off as Villager continued to get busier and busier with much warmer than usual March temperatures. As it happened, the enthusiasm for these events grew and continued to grow, and ultimately, we were so pleased with how it all turned out.
Each speaker not only inspired us, but brought life to our local ecosystem in ways that pushed our curiosities even further, and all participants showed up with incredible enthusiasm and excitement. We look forward to conti
nuing to be a science-based and reliable resource to this community for years to come.
