Very knowledgeable and great staff. You can ask them anything about truck plants and they know it because there locals. Also have a great selection, we enjoyed visiting there.

This place was very nice. Conveniently located off the main drag it was easy to find. They had little wagon carts to load your plants onto. The selection of plants was so wide in variety it was amazing. They had a lot of plants suited for the area to tolerate the cold and the animals. I initially was just popping in to look and before I knew it I’d left with a variety of spring and summer flowers and some mountain strawberries. The staff was very friendly and informative and very helpful and all the prices were very reasonable. Ill definitely be back for more and tell others as well.

I dropped in the other day asking what I could plant in my community and Tessa was super helpful. I had stopped at Perennial Nursery earlier in the week and not only were they not helpful, only wanted to water, but the girl reeked of weed.

Fantastic selection, particularly of local plants, and fair prices. Don’t live nearby, but this is one of my favorite nurseries anywhere.

This place is small but they do have quite a bit on site. I usually go for the basic stuff flowers and tomatoes. There is a green house I’ve never been in. I don’t even know everything they have. Also a good selection of terracotta pots for smaller plants. Succulents and cactus inside too.

Nice nursery but you can’t get in the driveway. No parking. No turnaround. Poor on street parking. So, if you could get in, it’s a nice nursery but it reality it’s a traffic jam

Amazing selection of plants for high altitude growing. I drive over an hour from south lake at least twice a year to come here.

Villager Nursery has an amazing selection of local wild flowers and shrubs. April and Rob were extremely helpful in locating and teaching us how to plant what we were seeking.

I just wanted to say thank you again for your thorough and informative advice via email and in person when I stopped by the nursery last week to learn more about pruning birch. I got such an education and so appreciated your willingness to dedicate so much time and energy to teaching me about my one little birch tree and how to keep it happy. It is inspiring to know that we have such an incredible resource in our local nursery here and I look forward to continuing to learn and grow new plants in our yard with your expert guidance. You couldn’t find a more beautiful nursery. Customer service is some of the top in the business, the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and the inventory is a serious plant lover’s dream. A perfect piece of Zen in the mountains, we love to visit.

I was just looking at the strawberries I am growing with the new fertilizer Villager nursery has been selling that comes in a refillable bucket. It’s like a miracle. The man who owns this place is very kind and his employees are equally so. Go BUY PLANTS!!!

The only place to go for buying plants when you live in the Truckee area. The staff are so friendly and have so much knowledge. The plants are healthy and the range is specific to growing in our area.

Villager Nursery is an extraordinary nursery with a huge selection of beautiful plants that are proven to grow great in this area! Eric Larusson, the owner, has several degrees in plants and it shows. His selection of native, unusual, and hard to find plants is amazing!! April was very helpful and knowledgeable also. We drove 1.5 hours to get there and it was well worth it, I will be back soon!!
