Rudbeckia
Sharing Mountain Gardening and Landscaping Expertise with High Sierra Enthusiasts since 1975
Educated, trained and experienced botanists, licensed landscapers, certified arborists, horticulturists and garden professionals teach these classes.
Before beginning your own experiments in Mountain Gardening, learn from the trials and errors of others. We have years of personal and vicarious mountain gardening experiences to share and we?ve killed thousands of plants in our own gardens already learning what we know. Classes will be held at the Villager Nursery, 10678 Donner Pass Rd. Pre-registration is requested but drop-ins are usually welcome. We like to have an idea of the number of attendees because we put a great deal of time and energy into preparation, We update and print class hand-outs and sometimes provide samples of materials for a small group. Most classes are free of charge but the workshops have minimal materials fees and for those, registration is absolutely required. We will cancel or re-schedule if the weather is unbearable. Dress warmly and please bring loads of questions, pictures and samples of plants for identification (after each class). The setting is informal and we always have fun. We have benches to sit on but you may want to bring your own folding chair.
Our ongoing classes run nearly weekly from May-Nov, if you'd like a class schedule, e-mail a request to villagernursery@sbcglobal.net
